A weekend-long celebration of original ensemble performance:
This is the third year of our annual works-in-progress series, Sound Off!—
This year expands to a two-night format, with a full-length showing of Goat in the Road and Cripple Creek‘s latest, The Future is a Fancyland Place, as well as excerpts from new works by NEW NOISE, Universes/Junebug’s Gamal Chasten and Bonnie Gabel, Alison Haracznack and Romona Cordova.
The same weekend, we’re also hosting our next workshop—
Voicebox: Pig Iron, Invisible Cities, Imagined Worlds is an incredible opportunity to train with Quinn Bauriedel of Philadelphia’s powerhouse Pig Iron Theatre Co. For the last seventeen years, they’ve been at the forefront of ensemble and devised work in the US, and this fall they’ll be opening the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training. Quinn is coming in advance of that opening to lead a 16-hour intensive in devised work, based around the book Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino.
